Trees of Hope 2025 | Vote for Your Favourite Penrith Charity
Your Vote. Their Future.
This Christmas, something special is happening at Panthers Penrith. Eight local charities have transformed our Main Foyer into a forest of hope, and we need you to help decide who takes home $9,000 in life-changing funding.
Trees of Hope is back, and it’s bigger than tinsel and lights. It’s about the people behind each tree—the volunteers, the families they support, the lives they change every single day right here in Western Sydney.
Voting runs from 12 November to 17 November 2025. The trees stay up until 17 December, but your chance to vote happens fast. Don’t miss it.
How to Cast Your Vote
It takes less time than ordering a coffee:
- Pop into Panthers Penrith any time between 12 November and 17 December
- Wander through the trees in our Main Foyer and read each charity’s story
- Swipe your membership card at the voting kiosks
- Pick your favourite and drop your ticket in their voting barrel
- Snap a pic and share it using #TreesOfHope and #PanthersPulse
That’s it. Your vote could mean $4,000 for a charity doing incredible work in our backyard.
What’s at Stake? $9,000 for Local Heroes
On Thursday, 18 December 2025, we’ll announce the winners and hand out prizes that will genuinely change what these charities can do next year:
- Members’ Favourite Tree: $4,000
- Directors’ Favourite Tree: $3,000
- Staff Favourite Tree: $2,000
Every charity gets something valuable from this campaign—visibility, new supporters, a moment in the spotlight. But your vote decides who gets the funding to go even further.
The 8 Charities Competing for Your Vote
NORO
Music isn’t just entertainment here—it’s therapy. NORO uses the power of sound and rhythm to unlock potential in people who’ve been told they can’t. Spoiler: they can.
Penrith Lions Club
The Lions have been serving this community for decades. Not for glory. Not for pay. Just because someone’s got to step up—and they always do.
TOTS Blanket Challenge
Since 2017, volunteers have hand-knitted and crocheted over 2,400 blankets for families who need warmth—literally and emotionally. Every stitch is made with care.
Regentville Rural Fire Brigade
When the flames come, these volunteers run toward them. No paycheck. No fanfare. Just courage and a commitment to keep us safe.
The Haven – Nepean Women’s Shelter
Some women arrive at The Haven with nothing but the courage it took to leave. This shelter gives them safety, support, and a shot at starting over.
Cancer Wellness Support
For 20 years, they’ve been there when people need it most—offering affordable therapies, a listening ear, and proof that nobody fights cancer alone.
Penrith Community Kitchen
A warm meal. A friendly face. A place where you’re welcome, no questions asked. That’s what the Kitchen offers to anyone doing it tough in Penrith.
Our Community Cares
Every dollar raised stays in Penrith. Every volunteer works for free. Every program supports locals who need a hand. It’s community care in its purest form.
Why This Matters
Let’s be honest—Christmas can feel pretty commercial. Trees of Hope cuts through that. It’s a reminder that the best part of this season is what we do for each other.
These charities aren’t asking for much. Just a moment of your time. A vote. Maybe a follow on social media. And if you’re able, a donation to help them keep going all year round.
When you walk through Panthers Penrith and see those eight trees, you’re not just looking at decorations. You’re seeing real people, real programs, real impact. Families who’ve been given shelter. Kids who’ve learned to express themselves through music. Firefighters who’ve saved homes. Volunteers who’ve wrapped someone in a handmade blanket when they needed it most.
That’s what your vote supports. That’s what this is really about.
