Trees of Hope Returns to Panthers Penrith This Christmas
Panthers Pulse celebrates local charities with festive competition and $9,000 in prizes
A Celebration of Community Spirit
This festive season, Panthers Penrith is lighting up our club foyer with more than just Christmas cheer. Our annual Trees of Hope campaign returns, bringing together eight incredible local charities to showcase their mission, raise awareness, and compete for life-changing donations.
From 12th November to 17th December, members and visitors can vote for their favourite decorated Christmas tree, with winners sharing in $9,000 worth of cash prizes.
How Trees of Hope Works
Eight carefully selected Western Sydney charities will each receive a 7.5-foot Christmas tree and lights to transform into a festive masterpiece that represents their cause. These trees will be displayed prominently in the Panthers Penrith foyer, where our community can vote for their favourite across three categories:
- Members’ Favourite Tree: $4,000
- Directors’ Favourite Tree: $3,000
- Staff Favourite Tree: $2,000
Meet Our 2025 Trees of Hope Charities
This year, we’re proud to partner with eight exceptional Western Sydney organisations, each making a profound difference in our community:
Noro
Using the transformative power of music therapy, Noro helps people of all ages and abilities reach their full potential. Their programs support hundreds of clients weekly through NDIS services and community initiatives, proving that music truly has the power to change lives.
Penrith Lions Club
A pillar of local service, Penrith Lions Club brings together community-minded volunteers dedicated to supporting those in need through fundraising, advocacy, and hands-on programs that strengthen our region.
TOTS Blanket Challenge
This nationwide volunteer movement turns creativity into kindness. Through knitting, crocheting, and community sewing bees, TOTS has created over 2,400 blankets since 2017, providing warmth and comfort to vulnerable families across Australia.
Regentville Rural Fire Brigade
Our local heroes who protect lives, property, and environment across Western Sydney. These volunteer firefighters serve on the frontline during emergencies while also educating the community on fire safety and prevention.
The Haven – Nepean Women’s Shelter
Providing crisis accommodation and wraparound support for women and children escaping domestic violence, The Haven offers safety, dignity, and pathways to independence during life’s most challenging moments.
Cancer Wellness Support
For 20 years, Cancer Wellness Support has improved the lives of people affected by cancer through affordable complementary therapies, counselling, workshops, and retreats—delivering nearly 7,000 therapies annually with a person-centred approach.
Penrith Community Kitchen
Creating a warm, welcoming space where those experiencing food insecurity or loneliness can enjoy free nourishing meals and genuine human connection. The Kitchen runs on volunteer hearts and community generosity.
Our Community Cares
A volunteer-powered charity that keeps 100% of fundraising within the Penrith LGA, supporting the lonely, aged, young adults, and those facing hardship—with zero wages or administrative costs. Every dollar goes directly to those who need it most.
Each charity brings a unique story of local impact — from supporting vulnerable families and empowering youth to providing essential health services. Together, they represent the heartbeat of Western Sydney: resilient, compassionate, and community-strong.

Winners Announced: Thursday, 18th December
The moment we’ve all been waiting for arrives on Thursday, 18th December at 3pm, when we’ll reveal which charities have won the hearts of our community. It’s a celebration of our charity partners, community generosity, and the incredible impact we can create when we come together.
Why Trees of Hope Matters
At Panthers, our community is our pride. Trees of Hope is a Panthers Pulse initiative that embodies this spirit — using the festive season to celebrate local heroes, amplify their missions, and provide meaningful financial support that changes lives.
Over the years, Trees of Hope has donated tens of thousands of dollars for Western Sydney charities while giving them a platform to connect directly with our 50,000+ members and thousands of weekly visitors.
This Christmas, your vote isn’t just about picking the prettiest tree. It’s about recognising the organisations working tirelessly to support families in crisis, mentor at-risk youth, provide essential health services, and strengthen the social fabric of our community.
