Support Nicole as Panthers Penrith Dances for Stars of Penrith and Cancer Council NSW

Panthers Penrith is proud to support our team member Nicole Scheinflug as she takes on Stars of Penrith, a major local fundraising initiative supporting Cancer Council NSW.

On Friday, 20th March 2026, Nicole will perform a tap dancing routine at the Stars of Penrith Gala Event, joining community champions from across Penrith and Western Sydney to raise vital funds for people impacted by cancer.

Nicole’s Story: A Personal Reason to Step Onto the Dance Floor

Nicole’s decision to join Stars of Penrith is deeply personal. Cancer has impacted her family in more ways than one.

Before Nicole was even born, her mum was diagnosed with melanoma. With specialist care and treatment, it was successfully removed, a result the family remains deeply grateful for.

In 2009, Nicole’s dad was diagnosed with hairy cell leukaemia. After chemotherapy, he is now in remission. Hairy cell leukaemia is slow-growing and treatment can control it for long periods, but it does not completely go away. That means ongoing monitoring and the possibility of future treatment remains part of the family’s reality.

Nicole’s story is one of gratitude, resilience, and determination to help other families who are currently in the middle of their own cancer journey.
