Panthers Penrith Turned Purple for Purple Friday

Standing with our community in support of safety, dignity and respect for all

Panthers Penrith was proud to take part in Purple Friday: Clubs Say No To Domestic Violence, standing alongside clubs across New South Wales to help raise awareness of domestic and family violence and show support for those impacted in our community.

Throughout the campaign, Panthers Penrith turned awareness into action with a range of visible in-club initiatives designed to start conversations and connect people with practical support. Staff wore purple accessories in support of the cause, signage was placed throughout the club to share important support information, and members and guests were encouraged to take a moment to learn more about the services available to those who may need them.

Panthers also supported DV Safe Phones, giving the community a simple but meaningful way to get involved by donating old and unused mobile phones. A donated phone may seem small, but for someone experiencing domestic violence it could provide a vital link to safety, support and connection when it mattered most.

By taking part in Purple Friday, Panthers Penrith proudly stood with the people of Penrith and Western Sydney in support of safer homes, stronger communities and a future built on dignity and respect. It was one more way the club used its voice and platform to support causes that matter and to remind the community that no one should face violence alone.

Members and guests were invited to support the campaign by visiting Panthers Penrith, 83 Mulgoa Road, Penrith NSW 2750 on Friday, 8 May, exploring the support information available around the club, and donating old and unused mobile phones to DV Safe Phones. Together, the community helped raise awareness and stand up for safety, dignity and respect for all.
