Panthers Penrith Celebrates Community Through ClubGRANTS

Celebrating Our Community at the 2026 ClubGRANTS Morning Tea

Panthers Penrith welcomed local community groups and organisations to its ClubGRANTS Morning Tea on Tuesday, 15th September 2026.

The special event provided an opportunity to celebrate the dedicated people working behind the scenes to support Penrith and its residents. It also gave community representatives the chance to connect, share ideas and build valuable relationships with other local organisations.

More Than $2.19 Million Supporting Penrith

During the 2025/2026 ClubGRANTS year, Panthers contributed $2,193,881 in support of the local community. That is the equivalent of more than $42,000 every week going back into the heart of Penrith.

More than 59 community groups and organisations received support throughout the year, helping deliver essential programs, services and opportunities across the region.

“Through ClubGRANTS, Panthers has the opportunity to support the people and organisations who know our community, understand its needs and, most importantly, are there doing the work,” General Manager of Panthers Penrith, Jason Stone, said

Creating Meaningful Local Impact

The community programs supported through ClubGRANTS are as diverse as the people they assist.

They provide meals and practical assistance to people experiencing hardship, help women and families affected by domestic violence and support those facing homelessness.

ClubGRANTS funding also contributes to cancer support services, mental health and wellbeing programs, disability inclusion, youth mentoring and education. Other initiatives assist hospital patients and their families, promote health and road safety, bring people together through community activities and create opportunities to participate in grassroots sport.

Behind every program are volunteers, community leaders and dedicated individuals who give their time, share their knowledge and continue finding new ways to help others.

“Panthers may provide funding, facilities and practical support, but it is the organisations represented here who turn that support into something meaningful for our community.”

Recognising the People Making a Difference

The ClubGRANTS Morning Tea was ultimately about saying thank you to the organisations and individuals whose work helps make Penrith a stronger and more connected community.

Panthers also acknowledged Carolyn from Penrith City Council for the many hours involved in coordinating the Category 1 program and working alongside Panthers and local community organisations throughout the year.
