Panthers Penrith Staff Put the Kettle On for Cancer Council

Penrith has proudly joined communities across Australia in supporting Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea, raising funds for Cancer Council through a heartfelt staff-led morning tea at Panthers Penrith.

Held on Thursday, 21 May 2026, the event brought together staff from departments across the Club, each baking, cooking and creating a delicious spread of homemade treats for their fellow team members to enjoy in exchange for a donation.

From cakes and slices to savoury favourites and morning tea classics, the day was a simple but powerful reminder of what happens when the Panthers community comes together for a cause bigger than ourselves.

Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is one of Cancer Council’s most recognised fundraising events, with the official 2026 event day taking place on Thursday, 21 May. Funds raised help support Australians impacted by cancer, including vital cancer research, prevention programs and support services.

Staff Raised $2,600 for Cancer Council

Thanks to the generosity of Panthers staff, the morning tea raised $2,600 for Cancer Council.

The event was more than a morning tea. It was a chance for staff to pause, connect and show support for the many local families and individuals who have been touched by cancer.

For Panthers Pulse, this is the heart of community storytelling. It is not just about the amount raised, but the people behind it. The staff who baked before work. The team members who donated. The conversations shared over a cuppa. The quiet moments of reflection for loved ones, friends and community members affected by cancer.

Members Can Continue to Support Throughout May

Fundraising at Panthers Penrith will continue until the end of May, giving Panthers members and guests the chance to be part of the impact.

Members can support Cancer Council by donating through charity change boxes located around Panthers Penrith, or by visiting the Member Rewards Swipe Kiosks, where they can choose to donate their Panthers Points.

This gives members a simple and meaningful way to turn everyday Club engagement into real community support.

Panthers Pulse: Small Acts, Big Community Impact

Through Panthers Pulse, Panthers Penrith continues to shine a light on the people, causes and community moments that make Western Sydney stronger.

Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea is a fitting example of that spirit. A plate of homemade treats, a donated Panthers Point balance, a few coins in a charity box. Each small act adds up to something much bigger.

For Panthers Penrith, supporting Cancer Council reflects the Club’s ongoing commitment to standing with the local community, creating moments of connection and helping raise awareness for causes that matter to Penrith families.

How to Donate at Panthers Penrith

Panthers members and guests can continue supporting Cancer Council until the end of May by:

  • Donating spare change in charity change boxes around Panthers Penrith
  • Donating Panthers Points at the Member Rewards Swipe Kiosks
  • Encouraging friends, family and fellow members to get involved

Every donation helps Cancer Council continue its work supporting people impacted by cancer across Australia.

Our Community. Our Pride.

Panthers Penrith thanks every staff member who baked, cooked, donated and supported this year’s Australia’s Biggest Morning Tea.

Together, Panthers staff and members are helping make a difference, one cuppa, one treat and one act of generosity at a time.
