Emerging in 1966, American rock band Canned Heat rose to fame because their knowledge and love of blues music were both wide and deep. Canned Heat’s unique blend of modern electric blues, rock and boogie has earned them a loyal following and influenced many aspiring guitarists and bands during the past four decades
The band attained three worldwide hits, “On The Road Again” in 1968, “Let’s Work Together” in 1970 and “Going Up The Country” in 1969 became rock anthems throughout the world with the later being adopted as the unofficial theme song for the film Woodstock and the “Woodstock Generation.”
Now, more than fifty years later and with thirty-eight albums, the original Canned Heat is still going strong and will be playing here at Panthers Penrith in a must-see show. Australia loves Canned Heat and lineup for their tour includes founding members Fito de la Parra & Larry Taylor plus long-standing members, John “JP” Paulus and Dale Spalding. These shows will sell quickly so be sure to get in quick!
