I thought I would start a thread for all the punters on here. We can share tips and talk about bets we've made and money we've won or lost (hopefully not the latter )

I have an account with the TAB and I'm starting the year with $200, I plan to monitor my progress throughout the season and see what I end up with at the end of the year (meaning I won't be taking any money out til then). I don't necessarily plan on only betting on the Panthers either, I'll be keeping my eye on all NRL games.

If you want to check out the TAB sportsbet website (NSW) , go to http://www.tab.com.au/sports/default.aspx?state=2

Good luck everyone, happy and safe betting, don't spend what you can't afford and may you win lots of money

To start off with, I had to have a piece of the Panthers paying $26 to win the premiership! Though I'm not totally confident we can win it this year (maybe next year), you never know, so I put $20 on us with a successful return of $520.

In round 1, the Panthers are paying a mouth watering $2.80 head to head against the Broncos. With a high player turnover including the big losses of Petero, Thorn and Carlaw, the announcement that Bennett's leaving, Lockyers 1st game back from a knee reconstuction and a few injury concerns, you gotta love those odds, which I do, so I put a tidy $50 on us for the win with a successful return of $140.

That takes me down to $130, lets see if next sunday I can finish up with $270.

I'll let you know mine next Friday. I love doing the multi bets involving the total team points and margins. I'm pretty good at it too. (It means I'm in the black comparing to how much I outlay throughout the season).

I'll start off with;
Penrith 21-30 team points, into Souths 1-12 margin, into Titans 1-12 margin, into Manly 21-30 team points. It will probably pay about $850 for a $10 outlay but I'll let you know when the prices come out...

A favourite of mine is the half-fulltime double!
One of my great betting successes (well 2 actually), in 2003, the game against the Bulldogs that originally broke our home attendance record, I bet on it to be a draw at halftime with the Panthers to win after 80 minutes. El Masri made it 10 all right on the halftime siren with us eventually winning, I turned $5 into $90.
Then, that same year we played the Warriors in the semis, I put the exact same bet on with nearly the exact same result, it was 10 all at halftime with us coming out on top after 80 minutes, only the final scorelines were the difference.

Can we restrict it to footy only ?

Otherwise we're going to get umpteen tips for Race 6 Bullamakanka, or something of that nature.

Being in the GENERAL RUGBY LEAGUE forum, the intention of the thread was betting on the NRL, not that betting on other sports isn't cool. Maybe a mod can change the title to FootyTAB?

I have a few multibets on that include Panthers winning the premiership, along with premiers in AFL, Super 14's & a number of soccer leagues. If I get any of them up I will never have to work again!!!
