Hi all,

Just came back from the NRL Grand Final, where the Living End, one of my favourite bands lip-synced their performance. Their music went off while they were walking to the stage when they were not touching their instruments.

Quick Question, since Billy Idol does NRL Grand Final music have to be faked?

:

You have to do this next year, please coach!

Poor Billy Idol.

I remember going to that Grand Final, it was the Roosters v Warriors final in 2002. Poor guy wanted to sing there so bad, but thanks to some 'wizardry' in the electrical department, it wasn't to be.

By the way, I also went to the 'M-One' Day the next day where Billy Idol performed, he was absolutely awesome, was a shame so many people at the Grand Final missed him.

the entertainment was rubbish, and so has most of the promotion this year. its meant to be our 100th year anniversary and this was the best we could offer. the afl hardly does better but it makes us look terrible anyway.

does anyone remember what the theme was this year?! when they had the 'that's my team' promotion going it just stuck in your head and was great for advertising our game. this year was just flat.

...rattlin lemon seeds in an empty Corona bottle?

You just can't help yourself can you???

Jokes aside the entertainment was crap. In fact it pretty much sums up the entire NRL season of 2008.

It's one to be best forgotten.

Thats one thing you dont see in this country were the yanks have it all over everyone else and thats how they entertain their crowds at half-time in their Suoerbowl.

The NRL did their usual trick in cost cutting by showing something that resembled a sleeping tablet commercial.

All the money the NRL makes and all they can come up with is something as lame as this makes you wonder if they really have anything to do with the fans at all.
